Nadia was a Gremlin taxidermist just like any other. She enjoyed finding new creatures and stuffing them with so many explosives as she could cram inside them. Sometimes, the animals were even dead when she started the process.
While she was shopping in Edge Point, she saw a handsome human and shuffled up to him in the hopes of getting a little romantic attention. He rejected her, claiming that he'd be interested in a Gremlin lass "when pigs fly."
Taking his words as a courting challenge rather than a rejection, Nadia hunted down a Malifaux raptor, tore the wings from its back, and stitched them into a piglet, It... didn't work out that well, so she tried again, and again, and again, until finally, she had created a Flying Piglet. It still doesn't fly, so much as flail awkwardly through the air, but it was still enough of a success to cause quite the uproar among the taxidermist community.
Soon other taxidermists were duplicating her work and coming to her for advice. Nadia was so pleased with all the attention (and more than a few marriage proposals) that she forgot why she'd made the freakish thing in the first place.
